Recently, during a live show, singer Sonu Nigam lost his cool and had to school a few fans. The reason? A song request.
During a performance in Bengaluru, a group of boys requested Sonu Nigam to sing a song in Kannada. However, the way the request was made didn’t sit right with Sonu — he felt that it sounded more like a threat than a polite request.
While reprimanding them, Sonu Nigam also referenced the Pahalgam attack, which drew criticism from some people. After the show, Sonu released a video to explain his side of the story more clearly.
While many felt it was inappropriate to link a song request incident to the Pahalgam attack, others came out in support of Sonu Nigam, saying that the Pahalgam victims were targeted because they were Hindus — not because they were from Karnataka or any other specific state.
Was Sonu Nigam subtly pointing towards the idea that "if you divide, you’ll be destroyed"?
